This is quite a sad failure of a film, had it not been for its sequels this would have been a confusing story with some great backgrounds and score but nothing more. Now when you compare this to the book which it is made after then this really gets bad, this would be considered an abomination considering the very little to non-existent dialogue and plot in which it connects with the book which is way better and a masterpiece, where as this is best to say is not.
