Lee's Movie Info - Visitor Ratings For LXG: League of...

This is definitely not one of the summer's big blockbusters. "The Italian Job" has better high speed chases, and "X-2" has better special effects. (I was one of those Computer Geeks not impressed by "Matrix:Reloaded") These things being said, I truly enjoyed this movie.
The scenery and the set design are fantastic. Sometimes your eyes will cross trying to look at too much decoration at once. However, the overall effect was great.
I have never read the graphic novel, but I have read all the stories in which our heroes were created and I truly enjoyed almost all their adapted characterizations. (Almost, someone needs to have had special agent Sawyer shot while guarding McKinley.)
Listen, my opinion and $1.55 will buy you coffee at Starbucks, but go and enjoy this movie. Turn off your brain for 1 hour and 50 minutes, really, it will come right back on when the credits roll. And if you want some adventure, read about the characters in there natural habitat. The original books may be classics of literature, but trust me, rhe adventures are worth the risk.
As for LXG, it was fun, and it never claimed to be anything more. I am looking forward to a DVD release, and let's root for "LXG 2: The Opening Scene Death of Tom Sawyer"
