Lee's Movie Info - Visitor Ratings For Batman Begins

About an hour into this movie I turned to my girlfriend and I whispered ?wow, this is like, an actual movie!? Yes, unlike the crap that has been dominating the previous portrayals of Batman, this was an actual movie with a plot, action and plenty of ?little things? that arouse the average Batman fan like myself. Most importantly, this movie had an actual story that made sense.

The story was very similar to original plot-lines set up by the comics, the characters were picked to fit perfectly with the personalities given to them by the original writers and they were all given excellent dialogue, there is no ?Activate Bat-pliers? in this movie. The characters felt real, some even gave excellent performances.

The story had some unexpected twists, it had few humorous bits. The action was not the best it could be, it sometimes reminded me of the original Batman movie. I must say, that personally, I would much rather have the small bits of multi-cut-scene type of action than plenty of obviously computer generated action (ala Spiderman).

This movie had such a great ending that I couldn?t help but smile. In a packed theater in Manhattan where it was very doubtful that everyone was a diehard Batman fan, it received a standing ovation.

For the guy who sat next to me with his cell-phone light on during most of the movie: You suck!
