Review ByPlightyear
What a terrible addition to the Star Wars franchise. This is by far the worst film in the saga. It all begins with the simple premise of over CGI-ification. Too much CGI in a live-action coupled with it being filmed with a digital camera. On top of that is it clearly departs from the feel of Star Wars films with it being the longest one, with sticking the entire plot too closely together and most particuarly the pathetic dialogue in the Anakin and Padme scenes hit this film hard and makes it even more obvious that George Lucas somewhere along the line is starting to loose his mind, especially when he made Yoda CGI (what a greater insult). At least had he given him CGI qualities in his battle with Count Dooku that would make sense, not for the entire film in which he looks twice as large as in all the other films he played in.
Hopefully Lucas will not go to the extremes in his next film and at least partially recover the Star Wars saga from its near disaster with Episode II. Grade: B
