    A really fun movie. No idea how it eluded me for so long, but when I finally noticed it I had to watch it immediately, mostly due to the actors in the film. Luke Wilson always brings a certain character to his films that most people can relate to perfectly. Although he is usually depicted as an "average guy", this is what makes him so relatable. Uma Thurman is always outstanding and she really had fun with her character, it shows. Anna Faris also shines in the way that she usually does. She brings a certain innocence that so few can pull off.
    The only negative aspect I can think of was some poor choreography at times, or when stunts were overly disproportional, but I also tend to think that it was done this way on purpose in order to keep the whole super human part of it from being the main focus. Or rather to stay in line with the comedy aspect of it.
    The end result was a fun movie unlike the type that are made in modern times. It was very refreshing, but also a reminder of how movies were made not that long ago. Maybe someday production studios will try to make movies like this again.

    I just LOVE superheroes (and superheroines, too) so I had expected to love this comedy automatically; it just couldn't go wrong. Could it? Well, yeah, it could go wrong-- and did. Uma Thurman plays G-Girl, a cold, neurotic, superhero who is in love with Luke Wilson, a guy who has all the warmth and charm of a brick. Together, they make this film fly like an iron butterfly: phzzzt, right into the ground! Why is Uma so damn bitchy in this film? I don't know, but if they were showing this film on an airplane, I think I would walk out on it anyway. This movie isn't bad, it's just not funny and not very pleasant; and in fact, it is a rip-off of another less than stellar superhero movie, Meteor Man. Still, as superheroes goes, "G-Girl" isn't too bad. Not bad at all...

    But I really do have to praise this DVD for one thing: on one disk we get both the widescreen version of the movie and the full screen version as well. More DVDs should be made like this.

True, it is strictly satire and throws convention out the window in the same of easy laughs, but the humor is genuinely funny without the campy, sophomoric allusions to sex and scatology that governs so much of modern humor.     I've enjoyed Luke Wilson in other movies and this one looked funny so I gave it a try. And I'm glad I did. It's a real hoot. It gives an interesting perspective on how inconvenient a superhero's life can be; I can't blame Uma for being annoyed that her dinner has to be interrupted so much of the time. Luke brings that pragmatic, likable persona to this role. His real love interest does a good job, as does Uma's nemesis, who turns out to be surprisingly likable. The movie has a great ending that will leave you with a laugh and feeling good. Nice use of music to underscore the various moods.

    I took one star off because Uma's anger at Luke was understandable, but some of the things she did for revenge were over the top. I agree with another reviewer that the shark stunt was potentially deadly and wasn't in keeping with her superhero character. The car in orbit was hilarious. I would have liked to see her use her super strength and flight to other imaginative non-deadly forms of revenge.

    This romantic comedy is an enjoyable piece of fluff that isn't for kids but will make you laugh out loud.

    This film is so watchable, all the actors play their roles with surefire wit, expertly delivered and OTT to perfection. It’s adult slapstick all the more watchable because it’s hard to take one's eyes off the two main female leads, Uma in particular. Im particularly fond of the bed destruction scenes where Uma’s hormones rage leaving poor old Wilson in sublime shock. The way he nurses his aching nethers on the way to work the following morning is just one of treats this film throws up in abundance. What I like especially about this purchase is that with good comedy with a sexy edge I can watch it at regular intervals and not throw it to the back of the cupboard into the dvd abyss. Buy for Uma alone!
