Product Description
In the follow-up to the worldwide hit Alien vs. Predator, the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage war in an American Midwestern town - with the residents caught in the middle.
Amazon.com
For those who found 2004's Aliens vs. Predator too lightweight in the gore-and-guns department, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem offers a marked improvement in both categories, as well as a respectable amount of rumbles between the title extraterrestrials. Set in the 21st century (which predates the story to all of the Alien features), Requiem sends a crippled Predator ship crashing to Earth in a small Colorado town; unbeknownst to the locals, the craft is loaded with H.R. Giger's insectoid monsters, which make quick work of most of the population. As the human cast is slowly whittled to a few hardy (if unmemorable) souls, a Predator warrior also arrives to complicate matters and do battle with the Aliens, as well as a ferocious alien-Predator hybrid (dubbed a Predalien by the sci-fi and horror press). Visual-effects designers and music-video helmers The Strause Brothers (who make their feature directorial debut here) keep the action on frantic throughout, which is wise, since the dialogue and characters are threadbare at best; that should matter little to teenage male viewers, who are inarguably the film's key audience. Fans of the Alien franchise, however, may find the offhanded nod to the series' mythology given during the finale its sole saving grace. --Paul Gaita

A little town in the hills of Colorado will become the battleground between two of the deadliest extra-terrestrial lifeforms - the Alien and the Predator. When a Predator scout ship crash-lands in the hills outside the town, Alien facehuggers are released in the crash, and an even more evil creature - a hybrid Alien/Predator - is also released. A man & his son hunting in the forests near the crash site soon become the first victims of the facehuggers, and when a Predator receives data about the crash on his home planet, he comes to Earth. One at a time, the inhabitants of the town become targets of the Aliens and the Predator, including the local sheriff, a young female soldier recently returned from Iraq, and several teens. Though the National Guard is called in, they are unable to stop the deadly creatures, and a plan is set in motion to destroy the town with a nuclear device... Written by Derek O'Cain
In Gunnison County, a spacecraft crashes in the woods bringing a powerful hybrid Alien hosted inside the pilot Predator. The local Buddy Benson and his son Sam are hunting in the forest and witness the crash, but they are chased and killed by the Alien. Meanwhile another Predator lands on the spot seeking out the Alien and destroying the evidences of their presence on Earth. The dwellers of the town find themselves in the middle of a battlefield between the two deadly extraterrestrial creatures, and the small group of survivors splits the leadership between Sheriff Eddie Morales and the bad-boy Dallas Howard that have different opinions about the best means to escape from the beings.
Two Predators load several live Alien facehuggers and his dead comrade onto a ship, intending to return to the Predator homeworld. Unbeknown to him, the dead comrade was impregnated with an Alien before dying. The alien bursts from the corpse's chest, then quickly grows into a Predator-Alien hybrid (Tom Woodruff, Jr). The hybrid attacks the crew, killing them and forcing the ship to crash land in Gunnison, Colorado. Before one of the Predators is killed, he sends a distress call to the homeworld. His message is received by a Predator warrior (Ian Whyte) who immediately embarks on the journey to earth to rectify the situation. Meanwhile, the facehuggers escape from the crashed ship and impregnate a father and son hunting team (Kurt Max Runte and Liam James) and, later, two homeless men living in the sewer system.
Dallas (Steven Pasquale) returns to Gunnison after a stint in the state penitentiary. He is picked up at the bus station by Morales (John Ortiz); Dallas and Morales used to be partners in crime, but Morales is now the county's sheriff. Also arriving home is Kelly (Reiko Aylesworth), after a tour of duty in Iraq. Her husband, Tim (Sam Trammel) is overjoyed to see her, but their daughter, Molly (Ariel Gade), is unsure of how to react to her mother's return. She does, however, enjoy the night-vision goggles Kelly brought home as a souvenir. Meanwhile, Dallas's younger brother Ricky (Johnny Lewis), is beaten up by Dale (David Paetkau) and his friends. Ricky has been flirting with Dale's girlfriend, Jesse (Kristin Hager). The fight is the last straw and Jesse breaks things off with Dale. She invites Ricky to go skinny-dipping with her at the high school's pool later that night.
The Predator arrives and scavenges weapons from the downed vessel then destroys it. He uses an acid to destroy the corpses of the alien's current victims as well as the facehuggers he finds. When Deputy Ray stumbles upon the scene, the Predator kills him and skins his corpse. When Morales and Dallas find Ray's body, they realize that something horrible is stalking the town.
The Predator tracks the aliens to the city's sewer system. He dispatches several but is caught off-guard by the Pred-Alien. The Pred-Alien and other aliens escape into the city and begin to attack the citizens. The Predator follows one to the city's nuclear power station. In the ensuing battle, the station is damaged and the city loses power. Morales realizes that the entire county is in danger and orders the town evacuated. He also requests National Guard assistance. The Pred-Alien realizes he can use fertile women to create hordes of aliens without needing facehuggers. At the local hospital, it injects alien larvae into all of the pregnant mothers in the maternity ward. Within hours, a small army of aliens has been created.
At the high school, Ricky's swim date with Jesse is interrupted when Dale and his friends arrive and attack Ricky. Before they can drown him in the pool, an alien arrives and kills Dale's friends. Jesse, Ricky and Dale escape and find Morales and Dallas at the power station. They tell them what has happened, which Morales and Dallas largely confirm by visiting the school. They don't find any corpses, however, as the Predator has already been there to kill the alien and destroy the evidence. Morales, Dallas, Ricky, Jesse and Dale realize they need weapons to protect themselves and break into a local sporting goods store. They are joined by Kelly and Molly, who have been attracted by the flashing lights on Morales's squad car. Earlier, an alien had attacked their home, killing Tim.
Morales makes contact with the arriving National Guardsmen. All he hears, however, is the sound of them being slaughtered by the aliens. Then aliens appear in the sporting goods store. However, the Predator has followed them there and kills the aliens. Dale's face is melted off by alien acid blood but the others escape. They make their way to the scene of the Guardsmen slaughter. Kelly knows how to drive the tanks, so they all climb in. Morales contacts Col. Stevens (Robert Joy), who tells them to head to the center of town to be airlifted out of town. However, the plan is not to airlift anyone to safety but instead to use the townspeople as bait to draw the aliens to one area and then destroy everyone with a small nuclear bomb. Kelly realizes that they will all die if they do as Stevens tells them but Morales doesn't believe her. When they encounter a number of other people headed towards the center of town, Morales joins them; Kelly, Molly, Dallas, Ricky and Jesse head for the hospital, where they will use the med-evac helicopter to fly to safety.
The hospital is overrun with aliens, and the Predator arrives to destroy them. Making their way up the stairs, the humans run into the middle of a Predator-Alien battle. Jesse is impaled by the Predator's flying daggers. Enraged, Ricky attacks the Predator with a machine gun but before the Predator can kill him, the aliens knock it down an elevator shaft. Ricky is wounded but will live. The Predator leaves behind a pulse rifle, which Dallas picks up. They make their way to the roof, but aliens block their path to the helicopter. As Dallas uses the pulse rifle to hold off the aliens, Kelly gets the helicopter started. Just as the aliens are about to surround and kill Dallas, the Predator arrives and kills off the remaining aliens. Dallas boards the helicopter and they fly away as the Predator and Pred-Alien duel to the death.
At the center of town, the humans are surrounded by aliens. Looking up to the skies in hopes of seeing rescue helicopters, Morales instead sees a jet fighter drop a bomb; he realizes Kelly was right as the town and all of the remaining aliens are incinerated, including the Predator and Pred-Alien who are locked in each other's death grip. Kelly manages to pilot the helicopter to a fairly safe crash landing. They are surrounded by other Guardsmen who disarm them and provide medical care to Ricky. They confiscate the Predator pulse rifle from Dallas.
Col. Stevens takes the Predator pulse rifle to Ms. Yutani (Francoise Yip). She tells him that the earth is not ready for the technology it represents. Col. Stevens knows Yutani doesn't want the technology to use on earth.
Thank you for this DVD. It was a GREAT ITEM.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2015I actually enjoyed Alien Vs Predator 2 I was disapointed with the first Alien Vs Predator as i did not like the whole plot and story. But with AVP 2 they atleast went back to the old aliens and predator themes. The first film didn't really have as much of the atmosphere of aliens and predator i mean don't get me wrong it did have alittle but it held back. AVP 2 isn't flawless but its a improvement in my opinion. The predator was back to a more old predator design but still with its own look and a new look aswell. I was concerned that when i heard about the predalien that they might mess up the look. Though you don't see the whole creature but i think they did a good job with the design it looked like half predator and half alien. It was new and it was cool to see a new kind of alien something we didn't see in the other alien films. The plot isn't bad though the characters most are not interesting some are likeable... But i can forgive the boring characters since our real focus is on the predator alien battle thats whats important. And another problem that many have complained about are how dark some of the scenes are in the final battle between the predator and predator alien its very dark at times you can't see whats going on its very distracting. But i enjoyed the film none the less. The plot and story picks up where the first film left off the predator ship carrying the predator known as scar from the battle at the pyramid who was killed by the queen alien who also was pregnated by a alien. His body is left on a table in the ship as it departs earth then a alien chest burster bursts its way out of scars chest then quickly attacks most of the predators on the ship. The ship crashed onto earth in Colorado where the predalien and several other aliens escape and began attacking people breeding many aliens who infest the town. A lone predator is sent down to clean up the mess. He arrives at the the crash site and enters the predators crashed ship and uses one of thr dead predators helmets to watch the video play back of what happened then he gears up with weapons and prepares for battle. He hunts down some aliens in a sewer taking them out but is unable to kill the predalien who retreats up to the city. The predator hunts down and kills several alien in a power plant where the battle knocks out all power in the city. Meanwhile the predalien attack a young woman working at a restaurant who is revealed to be pregnant. It is revealed that the predalien is some kind of queen and she can force alien embryos down the throats of pregnant women to spawn more aliens. After planting alien babies into the woman working at the restaurant aliens burst out of her stomach. The predalien enters a hospital and begans the samething impregnating pregnant women at the hospital. Predator arrives and begins battling several aliens while a group of survivors also take shelter in the hospital they quickly get caught up in the middle of the predator and alien fight. Marines or some kind of army force plan to bomb the whole town to contain the problem. The final battle between the predator and predalien finally happens they pick each other apart in a gruesome battle unto the marines bomb the town destroying everything. The final survivors escape the city before the explosion. The ending reveals that the marines found one of the predators weapons and a cia like woman says the world isn't ready for this kind of technology leaving open for a sequel. My final thoughts on the film is that its a great ride its got many ingredients that are in the other alien and predator films its a fun movie to watch if you're a predator or alien fan. Its got plenty of gore that was not present on the first film. I think the film is underrated it's not as bad as others say.

5.0 out of 5 stars was ich wollte
