Intense, dramatic, and a ton of fun, the writing is spot on, the effects hold up brilliantly, and some of the best performances of any super hero film, this one of the few franchises from my childhood that has yet to be bitten by the reboot bug (Days of future past doesn't count because its a sequel, NOT A REBOOT, it annoys the crap out when some people call it some what of a reboot because its not.) anyway, this film is incredible, pick it up, you'll be glad you did.

    This movie has already been reviewed a ton, so suffice to say if you enjoy X-men or Hugh Jackman, get the movie.

    In terms of the blu-ray, the quality is crisp and clear as expected. The extra features include standard commentary tracks, deleted scenes, etc. There are also "History of the X-men" featurettes- the first one is Stan Lee, Chris Claremont and other talking about the actual creation of the first issues of the comic, which is pretty interesting if you enjoy learning more about the comics (like myself). Of all the special features I've gone through so far, that's been my favorite so far.
