If the producers of the movie Happy Feet had enough foresight, they would have dispatched a CD vendor with batches of this disc to every theater exit sign in America. Outside of Shrek and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, few kiddie flicks have fed a need to hear certain songs again as effectively. That's in part because of "Song of the Heart," a suitably frisky Prince number you won't find anywhere else. But it also has something to do with the efforts of some unlikely performers. Who knew Brittany Murphy could sing? "Boogie Wonderland," her cover of the '70s classic, crackles with big-voiced confidence, and "Somebody to Love," another classic cover, claws listeners in by the flipper-ful. Even Robin Williams's typically manic "My Way (a Mi Manera)" isn't without its charms. Nicole Kidman's "Kiss" mashed with Hugh Jackman's "Heartbreak Hotel" may be among the disc's weaker moments, but the grownups will like it that way--with their kind of star wattage, they're already stealing enough shows. And there's plenty to focus on besides them: standouts include Pink's untethered rendition of "Tell Me Something Good," k.d. lang's beautiful Beatles medley "Golden Slumbers/The End," and the Beach Boys' underappreciated gem, "Do It Again." --Tammy La Gorce

    I think some people have this confused with a FREE Amazon Prime version of the soundtrack . This soundtrack that lists the actors and artists from the movie is the real deal. I just bought it and listened to it. It even has clips of the characters talking. Like the mom and dad penguin having their little love song going from her voice to his Elvis impersonation. We watch this movie almost everyday I have it memorized . I am so glad I found this my kids love it.

    Schon der erste Track ,Song of the heart' ist ein ezellenter Mix. Erinnert er zu Beginn etwas an R n B, fühlt man sich zwischendurch auch mal an Big Band erinnert.
    Mit Song 3 ,Tell me something' wird es etwas rockiger.
    Song 4 `Somebody to love' hat einen kräftigen Schuss Richtung Gospel.

    Das Nicole Kidman eine exzellente Sängerin ist, weiß jeder, der Moulin Rouge" gesehen hat - daher meine Bemerkung, dass letzteres nicht wundert. Und auch hier überzeugt sie zusammen mit Hugh Jackman in einem gelungenen Mix aus ,Kiss und Heartbreak Hotel'.
    Jeden, der ein Faible fürs Tanzen hat, dürfte es bei Brittany Murphy und Boogie Wonderland' nicht mehr auf dem Platz halten. Es ist einfach eine geniale Nummer, bei der inklusive der Sprecher der kleinen Magelanpinguine der gesamte Cast zu hören ist. Ein Stück, das RICHTIG gute Laune verbreitet..
    Prince, Pink, Patti LaBelle, Cryssie Hynde von den Pretenders und Kd lang sind Musiker, die den meisten Musikfans etwas sagen dürften. Und diese ergänzen sich eben super mit den singenden Schauspielern Brittany Murphy, Robin Williams, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jachman.
    Ein absolut hörenswerter Soundtrack, den ich sogar noch besser finde, als den Film.
