Another Mckenzie achievement! Anything this underappreciated composer, orchestrator writes can be strikingly beautiful and melodic. Here he evokes so many feelings to quote Michael Landon, Jr., the director; "despair, loneliness, panic, heartache, fear, awe, love, hope and joy" are all prevalent here. Mckenzie has worked as an orchestrator for all the great composers - Golsmith, Silvestri, Howard, Elfman, Newman, etc., etc., because no one does it better and they know it. He has written, composed and orchestrated many of his own scores for movies, usually indies but great films. The Last Sin Eater, Saving Sara Cain, Blizzard, The Lost Child, and many more that are excellent and collectible. Mckenzie is one of the best I've heard and you won't go wrong anytime he's involved.

This is a wonderfully evocative soundtrack by Mark McKenzie -- gorgeous themes, played by a talented and sensitive orchestra. My favorite cues are "Mountain Meeting," "It Doesn't Hurt Anymore," "You're Just a Man Whom God Loves," and "I Love You." The film itself, "The Last Sin Eater," is quite odd at times but well acted and ultimately inspiring. Anyone who enjoys orchestral soundtracks will like this beautiful and emotionally touching CD.

First, this is the account holder's daughter's review of this item.

Wow! I really like this CD! Usually, almost everytime I watch a movie...I purchase it's soundtrack as well. I especially like how the music is Celtic-like, and I like hearing the piano and panflutes.

The only reason why I rated it 4/5 stars is because almost every-single-track has the same melody/tune!! Very little diversity, but it shouldn't stop anyone from buying this soundtrack (let alone the movie!)
