    I bought this album for one song. Wild Tigers I Have Known by Emily Jane White. Bay Area, downer folk sound. Similar voice as Cat Power. Great song with haunting piano. Nothing else on this album compels me.

    David Tibet a, parmi ses nombreux talents, celui de savoir reconnaître celui des autres. Cette immense qualité l'a fait travailler inlassablement avec Steven Stappleton, s'entourer de Michael Cashmore, exhumer Simon Finn, découvrir Antony Hegarty et Pantaleimon... On ne peut dès lors que se plonger dans ce "Wild Tigers I Have Known" avec un a priori des plus positifs. Surtout que les participants à cette bande originale du film de Cam Archer sont prestigieux : Current 93 bien sûr ici en duo avec l'écrivain Thomas Ligotti, Pantaleimon, Six Organs Of Admittance, Emily Jane White... On l'aura d'emblée compris que le ton est à la mélancolie, tout à fait dans l'esprit des dernières parutions Durtro : guitare acoustique en très grande proximité, voix éthérées. Les morceaux sont remarquables même si seulement une piste de Pantaleimon est inédite ("High Stars"). Cependant la vraie surprise vient des autres artistes - ceux quà vrai dire je ne connaissais pas : Anders & Woods, Nate Archer (le frère de la réalisatrice) pour leurs intéressants soundscapes à mi-chemin entre le new age et l'ambient industriel de certaines publications Ground Fault. C'est pourtant une piste acoustique d'une inconnue qui emportera l'adhésion de tout auditeur : "Mighty" de Djuna Bel qui s'accompagne à la guitare pour une ballade éclatante de sobriété et de retenue. Bref, largement digne de figurer dans votre discothèque !
