A Beautiful Mind Part
of the Scandal? |
|
|
But
it isn't over yet. Sony advisor
Anthony Molan had to say, "As much
as I'd hate to admit it, Logan's not
the only one picking this up. As
embarrassed as we are here at Sony
over that Manning scandal, there's
really something trippy going on."
Proving his example, Molan stated,
"Look at A Beautiful Mind and its
reviews. They're glowing. And when
you compare its reviews status to
its ticket sales outcomes, one
begins to ponder." Adding to that, Anthony commented, "Audiences are not responding well to the
film and as time unravels it's just becoming clearer and clearer to the truth
that lurks Hollywood reviewer groups right now. It's just the sad honest
truth." |

According to Sony, the creator of the fake
critic, David Manning was in cahoots with a man who went by the fake name of Jay C., which
coincidentally happens to be extremely close to the Boston Globe critic, Jay
Carr, which is picking up suspicion. Sony commented on the issue, "The
coincidence is just too alarming. Once again, it's embarrassing and it's
noticeable." Shamelessly, Anthony Molan finished, "At least it took a while
for David Manning to be revealed. But here, it's sticking out like a sore
thumb."
On the subject of Jay Carr, the Boston Globe reviewer claimed
on Beautiful Mind, "One of Hollywood's very few really classy or ambitious
offerings this year." A reviewer for Boston Globe, who chose to have his name
anonymous, stated to reporters, "I work in a small office at the Globe and
have to say it's very peculiar." He added, "there's an office room down the
hall that is constantly closed and locked. When fellow employees attempt to go
in there, security always brushes them away. And when anyone asks whose office
that belongs to, silence always fills the room." The reviewer concluded, "I'm
getting the suspicion that there is something the Globe is hiding from us.
What they are hiding I can't put my finger on." After hearing the reviewer's
comments, MPAA president Robert Logan remarked, "need any more proof?"
As the suspicion today continues to grow on the subject of
David Manning clones, Logan suggests to be careful to who you listen to when
wanting a critic's opinion. He adds, "One can easily be fooled. If you fall
into their traps I believe the scandal will continue on for a while." Logan
concludes by saying, "If you really want to be safe with your $7.50, I suggest
researching under every movie reviewer out there to get the most accurate
results possible. You never know when a David Manning clone may be on the
loose." |
