The film stars Gina Gershom (Bound,
Showgirls) as the band's aggressive lead
singer (Jackie) worried that her aging
will put an end to her dreams. Also
starring Drea De Matteo, Lori Petty, and
Shelly Cole, Prey for Rock and Roll finds
the band battling sex games as well as the
uncertainty of who to trust in the
industry. Tying in with the
Madonna/Britney Spears media coverage as
of late, the film is hoping to reach a
dedicated audience with the flick's steamy
scenes and overall different subject
matter compared to the norm (given that
very few gay/lesbian-centered films are
ever produced).
MAC Releasing is an independent
distributor co-owned by a neighbor of
mine, with previous titles of theirs
including
Washington Heights and
Dirt.
Prey for Rock and Roll is opening on Friday,
September 26, exclusively in LA at the
Laemmle Sunset 5 theater in West
Hollywood. It will also be expanding in
the coming weeks (with a debut in Seattle
and San Francisco on Friday, October 3), as there is a chart with
the specific release dates at the official
web-site below. The (redband) theatrical

exclusive clip from the film that cannot
