For all those folks who
are convinced Signs doesn't have a
twist, I'm going to enlighten those
who've seen it with a possible "take" of
this movie that Shyamalan didn't
directly point out (and could prove that
there's more to the eye than what
Shyamalan verbally places on-screen).
Listening to its soundtrack, lots of
things suddenly clicked in for me (been
three months since I've seen it) and
because I don't think a significant
group of people are going to realize the
possible "tricks" behind this flick, I
am planning on a column by the end of
the weekend or by Monday (giving time
for visitors to see Signs themselves).
It is highly recommended that only those
who see it over the weekend view the
(column) material, as spoilers are
guaranteed to be in the bunch. Until
then, enjoy one of the largest
anticipated movie weekends of 2002.

I've tried
to attach a few negative reviews here,
but just about every one I've come
across has mentioned one spoiler or
another within the review. Thus the
reason for the purely positives here.
If you know of a negative status one
that doesn't include details, feel free
to email me with the info.

great movie if you want good scares."
The official site for
Signs has released some MP3 file
remix clips from the soundtrack for the
movie, though for some odd reason I
cannot seem to reach the music...I'd
like to know if anyone else is having
similarity troubles. I click the files,
but after a few seconds the page
completely halts and nothing happens (is
it downloading during this time?). It's
a mystery...
Though an old article, I
just ran into a neat thing about Signs
at
USAToday.com that is worth taking a
glance for those eager to see the film.
M. Night Shyamalan hosted
a special on ABC on Monday night (July
22) surrounding the general public's
biggest fears and instances where people
survived horrifying experiences. While I
did think one of the clips they played
from Signs was off-limits territory
(didn't reveal much, but it was probably
one of the closest hints the
ad-campaign's ever gotten to the actual
plot), it likely sent many viewers'
interest skyrocketing. The special was
fairly interesting in general, though I
did think Shyamalan was trying a little
too hard to be "dark" and "creepy" at
certain moments of his hosting.
While off topic from the
episode, I am planning on one more
column on Signs, discussing all the
little details that could drive this
film to "event picture" status. That
will probably be coming up during the
week of the film's debut (or the weekend
before).

Yahoo
has posted a bunch of promotional clips
on the film. While none contain any real
substantial spoilers, I highly suggest
skipping out on "In the Cornfields" and
"There's a Monster Outside My Door", as
it creates a much bigger effect in
theaters (trust me). Otherwise,
take a look >>
