A wealthy playboy madman buys pieces from artists and then murders them so that the art will appreciate in value. He's been doing this for years, and the film would take be set around his last time. In this case, the artist's brother was one of the victims and he develops a cunning plan to trap the madman and exact revenge. This could be done in 5-10 minutes with narration over a montage at the beginning, and a quick progression to the artist killing the madman.
