Very easy and very cheap.
Basically its a spoof of the world series of poker and is set in an altnerate/parallel reality where cribbage is the big game for the young guns.
Get 11 people [8 for the table, 1 for the dealer, 2 for commentators]: who spew useless information.
The 8 table players would be 8 characters [loud mouth, orange/trinket guy, glasses dude, cribbage guru, college stud, know-it-all, Im just lucky to be here guy, fan club guy, wife/work doesnt know he is here/play in guy, etc....]
The game would be a small snipit, maybe 2-4 real hands and the rules wouldnt really matter as the commentators would basically voice over anything necessary or insightful.
It would require little written words to start out [as interaction bepends on what the cards are, but major points to be addresses would be
1-small intro of all players [40sec], 1-a brief [and silly or confusing rules intro, [20sec] 2-a nuts segment on 1 guy, probably a guy whom has like a shrine to Cribbage at his home, or whom has this whole intimate strategy [50sec?], 3-a breakdown of one of the players on a hand [20sec], 4-a head to head [40sec], 5-wife/mother consoling a loser [maybe just a photo] [10sec], 6-a fan section for one of the players [possibly just cardboard cutouts] [10sec] 7-a fade out before the final match is complete ["Next time on WS of Cribbage].
Rest of time actual hands or commentary as the entire hand is never shown, but commentated on or only the important bits shown.
Important things to remember: this is a spoof, while cribbage is a complicated mind game, this version wouldnt really be it, the dealing out would be similar to holdum, but the keeper cards/scoring would be similar to bacarate [basically closest to 10 is best [or in cribbage a number like 15 or 31] [a longer movie could expand on the rules or scoring, but this being a spoof, simplicity and silliness on the rules/scoring is important, as it focuses more on the characters and the breakdown, in the end it still is best 5 cards.
Pairs and run cards are still good, but cards that equally go into 15 or 31 would be better [ie a 5,8 would be better than a K 6 [so similar to holdum, but different important numbers/cards
