On a night home from work while extremely tired and walking Jim, witnesses a murder. Paranoid thinking that the murderer's know he saw the murder, Jim locks himself in his house for a few days, then a few weeks, before he knows it he's been in his house for 2 months.
He has a sytem and time schedule for how long and when he sits by each window, holding a shotgun, watching to see if they are coming to kill him. His schedule also consists of what are the safest times to use the bathroom and briefly sleep for 2 hours.
His house remains a dark and scattered mess as he lives in a constant state of fear and suspicion. Jim is visited by his ex wife and brother, who bring him the little food he eats and both try and convince him to leave the house and that no one is coming. Are people coming for Jim? Did he even witness a murder? Is this not the first time Jim has locked himself in his house? The ending reveals whether or not Jim was right to hide.
Role of Jim should be someone who looks the age of Daniel Day Lewis, he is a middle aged man, tired, and slipping on reality.
