Its the first day of school at Ventura Elementary as the stundents line up at the cortyard awaiting thier new teachers for the schoolyear. Time passes by as teachers come out and introduce themselves to thier studnets and take them back inside. It seems that everyone is inside except for one class, Mrs. Harpers 6th grade class. Apperently, she had not told the principal that she was stuck in the airport back in Cancun awaiting a flight that was delayed for a few days due to a hurricane. After a while, the students realize that she has failed to come. Expressions range on the kids faces from disappointed to excited. Instead of reporting this to their principal Mr. Wilmer, they decide to take matters into their own hands. By trying to survive the whole day inside the classroom figuring out what to do without parental supervision. Can they rule the room, or will they all get caught red handed? They have to sneak by from going to lunch and recess, to going to a welcome back assembly.
