Watership Down   by vitaedigest
The idea for the film is basically a remake of the 1978 animated film, 'Watership Down'. While the original film was done with hand-drawn animation, it would be ideal that this film could combine live-action with CGI, with real humans and animatronic motion-captured animals. Or motion-capture could simply be used.
The plot of the film is the same as the book: a fantasy adventure animal story about a group of rabbits who flee from their old warren and search for a new home after one of the main characters, Fiver, has a vision that the warren will be destroyed by man. However when they do find a new home on Watership Down, a problem soon arises that there are no female rabbits among the group of males and they must find a warren that is willing to give them some females. Unfortunately, the warren that is infiltrated by a main character, Bigwig, is run by the sadistic and cruel rabbit General Woundwort. The climax soon descends into an action-packed, thrilling rescue mission from the warren to return home.
As the story is set in the British countryside, it is likely that the voices would have to be supplied by British actors. It would be good if the director were to follow the film completely by the book and not leave out any characters or pieces of plot, with the film having a dark atmosphere like the book and not down-playing any violence or unsettling scenes so the film could earn a PG-13 rating.
